BUILD OF MATERIALS
DigMax attachments are built using the highest quality materials to match the specific design and application parameters of the attachment.
These materials include:
Main body: Generally comprised of Q345, Q345B, and Q355B.
High wear areas: NM400, NM500 (Bisaloy equivalent), Hardox 400, Hardox 500 are used in high wear areas such as leading edges, weld in edges, wear strips, bolt on edges, and main body for shears & pulverisers.
Q345 steel is a low alloy, high strength structural steel, material density is 7.85 g/cm3, tensile strength is 470-630 Mpa, and yield strength is 345 MPa. According to GB/T 1591 – 2008, Q345 material has 5 quality grades: Q345A, Q345B, Q345C, Q345D and Q345E. Q345 steel has good weldability, cold & hot workability and corrosion resistance. Widely used in bridges, ships, boilers, pressure vessels, petroleum storage tanks, lifting transport machinery and other high-load welded structural parts.Q345 steel: Q345A, Q345B, Q345C, Q345D, Q345E equivalent to US ASTM, European Germany DIN, British BS, France NF, Japan JIS, and ISO Standard (For Reference). According to GB/T 1591 -2018, Q355 has 3 quality levels: Q355B, Q355C and Q355D. yield strength 355 MPa for steel thickness ≤16mm, and tensile strength is 470-630 Mpa. Q355 steel has good mechanical properties, good weldability, hot and cold processing properties and corrosion resistance. Can be used to manufacture ships, boilers, pressure vessels, petroleum storage tanks, bridges, power station equipment, lifting transport machinery and other higher load welded structural parts. Q355 carbon steel equivalent to European EN (German DIN EN, British BSI, French NF…) and ISO standard. Source and more information: https://www.theworldmaterial.com/q355-steel/
