DigMax have developed the double ram grab bucket, affectionally known as the 'Double Pumper', now available off the shelf for excavators from 1.7 ton to 40 ton, and larger sizes to order.

These weapons of mass construction are rapidly replacing thumbs, single ram grab buckets, 4 in 1 buckets and grabs, due to their unrivalled versatility and increased productivity in all material handling applications including demolition, waste, forestry, firewood, tree-work, rock handling and general earthworks.

Key features:
Pickups are mounted on the top of the bucket, same as a standard type digging bucket
Width, shape & capacity of the bucket is same as a standard type digging bucket
Resulting working envelope / geometry is the same as a standard digging bucket
Easily and productively dig & load with the bucket as the grab arm opens right up & out of the way
Full width grab arm provides unmatched material gathering, & maximises bucket loading & holding capacity
Double rams provide massive clamping force, ensuring the larger loads are secured with maximum safety 
Solid ram stops on the grab arm to prevent the ram cylinder bottoming out and the ram base pin from being punched out
Grab arm operates from one standard two-way auxiliary circuit
Fully compatible with tilting and standard quick couplers
Hardox and Bisaloy used in high wear areas
Bisaloy wear strips underside on 5 ton class and above

Double Ram Grab Bucket - Ward Demolition

Ward Demolition ordered the first of the 14 ton class Double Pumpers.
After years of working with single ram grab buckets and multi-purpose buckets, when approached with the concept of the double ram grab bucket, they immediatley recognised the benefits of having the working enevelope & geometry of a standard digging bucket, coupled with a full width grab arm.
After one day in action, an order was confirmed for another 14 ton class, and 2 x 20 ton class.
