SLIPMAX BUCKETS (©, Digmax Equipment, 2021) LOW-STICK WIDE & TILTING BUCKETS

  • Digmax wide cleaning buckets are designed and built to match the New Zealand market, which has sticky, heavy soils. After extensive trials we have now standardised on chamfered back corners on all our wide, tilting and GP buckets, resulting in a "low stick" bucket. Traditional 90 degree corners in the back of the bucket cause material to become compressed, stick, and then builds up, dramatically reducing payload and increasing fuel burn.

  • Our extensive trials over months in various soil types have proven the chamfers significantly reduce sticking and carry-back.

  • The chamfers also add strength to the floor of the bucket. To offset any loss of capacity, we have gone to a slightly longer floor creating a more "scoop shape". This creates a larger bucket opening which has additional benefits;

Pulls through the dirt easier, increasing production, and reducing fuel burnMaterial flows in easier, reducing packing/sticking/carry-backMaterial dumps out easier & faster, and reduces sticking/carry-backThe larger opening creates a longer angle of repose when heaping material in the bucket for bulk loading, increasing capacity and productivity The slightly longer floor provides good visibility to the bucket edge when reaching right out for finishing / grading workWe have buckets available with and without the internal rib, as some contractors prefer the rib for strength and assisting to break up clay, and some prefer without rib.
