SLIPMAX BUCKETS (©, Digmax Equipment, 2021) LOW-STICK TILTING BUCKETS

  • DigMax wide & tilting buckets are designed and built to match the New Zealand market, which has sticky, heavy soils. After extensive trials we have now standardised on chamfered back corners on all our wide, tilting and GP buckets, resulting in a "low stick" bucket. Traditional 90 degree corners in the back of the bucket cause material to become compressed, stick, and then builds up, dramatically reducing payload and increasing fuel burn.

  • Our extensive trials over months in various soil types have proven the chamfers significantly reduce sticking and carry-back.

  • The chamfers also add strength to the floor of the bucket. To offset any loss of capacity, we have gone to a slightly longer floor creating a more "scoop shape". This creates a larger bucket opening which has additional benefits;

Pulls through the dirt easier, increasing production, and reducing fuel burnMaterial flows in easier, reducing packing/sticking/carry-backMaterial dumps out easier & faster, and reduces sticking/carry-backThe larger opening creates a longer angle of repose when heaping material in the bucket for bulk loading, increasing capacity and productivity The slightly longer floor provides good visibility to the bucket edge when reaching right out for finishing / grading workWe have buckets available with and without the internal rib, as some contractors prefer the rib for strength and assisting to break up clay, and some prefer without rib. Included as standard items:Removable bucket pins Chamfered back corners - low stickingReversible, bolt on cutting edges on all tilting buckets (3 ton and above)Wear strips on undersideOversize pins & bushes12 - 20 ton class have 1 x low profile internal rib 30 - 50 ton class have 2 x low profile internal ribsTwin double acting rams on tilt bucketsDouble, triple, and quadtriple welds in high load point areas 12 ton width 1800mm (1850mm across cutting edge) 14 ton width 2000mm 20 ton width 2080mm (2080mm across cutting edge) 30 & 40 ton width 2200mm (2240mm across cutting edge)

SLIPMAX - TILTING BUCKETS

CUSTOM BUILD TILT BUCKETS

If you require something a bit out the ordinary, DigMax will design and custom build to suit your application, such as this 50 ton class 3 metre wide tilt bucket, 2700kg and 2.5m3 capacity.

CUSTOM BUILD - 27T TILT BUCKET

B.E.L Forestry Ltd. from Blenheim approached us with the requirement for a tilt bucket suitable for a Volvo EC220DL with High & Wide undercarriage, machine weight approx. 27 tonnes. Bucket weight 1700kg, heaped capacity 1.6m3, bucket pins 80mm dia.

CUSTOM BUILD - 30T TILT BUCKET

DigMax were approached to design and build a high capacity 30 ton class tilt bucket. The requirement was to acheive a heaped capacity of 1.9m3 - 2.0m3, with a maximum width of 1900mm to enable the cleaning out / scraping of truck bodys from the rear, and also acheive optimum weight to maintain structural strength, yet not too heavy for the carrier machine.
Another critical feature was our chamfred back corners for reduced sticking.
Weight 1620kg, Heaped Capacity 2.0m3, width 1900mm
